I used to be..

So, this a bit personal, but it got on my mind after I did a few skincare fun things today.
I decided to tell you guys how gross I used to be up until I was eleven years old and how almost OCD I'm about my hygiene now.
  • Up until I was eleven, I used to take a shower once a week. I only washed my hair once a week, too.
  • Up until I was eleven, I changed my bedding once every five months!
  • Up until I was eleven, I only brushed my teeth in the morning.
  • Up until I was eleven, I changed my underwear REALLY seldomly.
  • Up until I was eleven, I never really cut my nails and they got really long and gross.
  • Up until I was eleven, I didn't really shave anything.
  • Up until I was eleven, I didn't really wear bras either (but there was really a need to.)
  • Up until I was eleven, I didn't really know what 'washing my face' meant.
  • Up until I was eleven, I slept in the same T-Shirt for up to three weeks!
  • Up until I was eleven, I must have preferred to stink because perfume was unknown as well.
And now what I do today:

  • These days, I shower every day and wash my hair every day, because I just like how smooth it feels and how good it smells.
  • These days, my bedding gets changed every two weeks and I put a different towel on my pillow every day because that prevents bacteria from getting into my face.
  • These days, I brush my teeth twice a day, use mouth use and I'm going to use dental floss once I get my braces off (with them it just takes me too long.)
  • These days, I change my underwear twice a day, once in the morning and once after showering in the evening.
  • These days (mostly because of the instruments I play), my nails are always really short, but clean.
  • These days, since I know that hair=stink and bacteria, I try everything to get rid of those bastards.
  • These days, of course, I wear bras. It looks better and also feels better.
  • These days, I have a procedure of washing, cleansing and creaming my face twice every day.
  • These days, I change the T-Shirt I sleep in every night, but the pants are on for like three nights.
  • These days, perfume is a must. I don't mean big clouds of stinky, sweet perfume, only a little spray in a few places is enough. But please, DON'T STINK!

I personally think that hygiene is VERY IMPORTANT, and anybody who doesn't shower once a day just isn't really worth my time. I mean, we live in countries where we have the possibility (and fortune) to be able to shower, wear clean clothes and be clean in general, so why not take the chance?
A clean face is a must too. I don't mean being completely pimple- and blackhead-free, but you know when somebody is taking care of themselves.

Ahh, I see, I've gotten into a bit of a long post, even though I'm supposed to do some homework, so I'm gonna stop being a stuck-up OCD-bitch now and do what I have to do :D

Eh? Most of that is just stuff you should be doing anyway. Sure, it's quite a contrast to how you used to behave, but I wouldn't go as far as to call it OCD.

Kenny, do you really not care about hygiene?

Are Google into Le Guin or something?

Leon, were you ever running around complaining to everybody because you started sweating in the face? Or washing your hair thrice a day? (even though THAT'S really really bad. Bahey, it got dirty! At least I think so.)

Yeah well, I'm not calling it OCD either, but it's not normal, you have to admit that. ^^

Of course I care about my hygiene, I'm clean, don't worry XD But for example, I don't wash my hair absolutely every day. I think that's bad for you, actually.

It just depends on the person. If someone goes outside playing sports, getting muddy etc. then they're gonna need to clean themselves much more often than someone who doesn't do anything to get themself so dirty (me). I DO clean myself though

I also don't wear bras.

Pah. I wash my hair everyday and it's perfectly fine.

TAKE THAT!

Don't wash your hair everyday, it can damage your hair, and you won't have the same natural hair later on when you really want them...

Atleast, skip ONE DAY!"

^^; Sorry
