Turns out..

I didn't go to school on Tuesday either, and not on Wednesday. Stayed at home the whole week.

What I did:
  • Watch Gilmore Girls and The War at Home (so hard that I've become addicted again. But The War at Home has been cancelled D:)
  • Play DS, mostly Pokemon and little-girls'-games
  • Surprise thing that I'll explain later on
  • Get fat like a cow and grow monster-eyebrows. When I'm sick I do NOT care about being beautiful :)
  • Swallow about 5,000,000 pills
  • Use nose-spray, fell in love with it
  • Learn Japanese through my DS. I can form easy sentences now!
  • Develop a love for The Fresh Prince of Bel-Air and Golden Girls (I overuse my TV!)
  • Miss the English test (OH NOES WHERE WILL MY 16 A's BE?!)
What I did not:
  • Miss school
  • Miss Thomas
  • Miss my friends
  • Miss talking to anyone apart from my family and the doctor
  • Use the computer, that was too exhausting
  • Want to go back to school
I kinda like staying at home, not having to care about anything. I even wish that I was still ill so I could relax at home (but don't tell anyone!)
Okay, there's nothing to worry about, the Easter holidays start on Friday, but I hate the fact that there's a Maths test on Monday and I'm 100% going to screw it up because I missed so many lessons.

So, for the soopar-doopar-surprise:
You get my personal review on the DSi XL! Got it today, and I immediately fell in love :)
Meet Judge Fudge! (He's far too busy being delicious, so you get pictures. He couldn't make it to the live-interview. If you get the reference you'll be rewarded with my eternal love.)
Obviously I got me the chocolate brown one, because I can't stand red things (except for my hair, haha)

First of all, I saw many people criticizing the weight of the DSi XL. I was surprised that it doesn't feel much heavier than the DS Lite does. Overall, the DSi XL just has so many advantages that I won't ever use my DS Lite again unless really needed.

The bigger included stylus (picture 1) is really handy, you can write just like with a normal pen. Your handwriting will be better recognized by games like the Dr. Kawashima-series.
As soon as I turned it on, I was greeted by huge displays, only waiting to test out Phoenix Wright: JFA (clever as I am I took it with me so I'd have something to play. It surely seems stretched, but not to the point that you can't look at the graphics anymore. It's comfortable.

As you can see in the third picture, the surface use the same coating as the DS Lite, which makes fingerprints show up fastly. But it's clearly more beautiful than the DSi's coating, which is matte and looks just awful.
At first I didn't think that I'd like the new colours (bordeaux red and chocolate brown), but turned out to be strangely beautiful.

My first real playtest was Professor Layton and the Curious Village, and I have to say that I'm impressed. I like the displays, I like the better sound the game provides me with, and I like the brightness of everything.
Everything works just fine, and I'll tell you how flashcards work when mine arrives this week. (I had to buy a new compatible one. 40€, I hope that it's worth the money.)
As for the camera and the music player, they're just fun little gadgets, but nothing really special. I couldn't really try out the MP3-player because I after I'd loaded them onto my SD-card, I found out that the files have to be in AAC-format, but I didn't want to boot my PC up again.

So, that's it for now, I'm watching Golden Girls and (ab)using my DSi XL a little more now, if there are any questions coming up you know where to post them.

SHE'S ALIVE! XD

Yeah, spending so much time at home is fun isn't it. Glad you enjoyed yourself. Don't worry about how you look either xD

Good you like the new DS! Can I ask, are you getting Pokemon Heartgold or Soulsilver? Would be nice to play with you

Hope I can see you online soon so I can talk to you properly!

WHAT A QUESTION, DUUUH!
Of course I'm getting SoulSilver, you are talking to one of the biggest Pokemon addicts ever! But it's coming out on Friday, so you'll have to wait :)

I didn't want to admit it to myself, but I enjoyed the last two weeks.

Yeah, I'm alive, but there's a rockband playing bad music in my head and I feel really dizzy. Seems like the cold's not gone yet..

Oh, just take it easy and make sure you get better... Don't want you ill again :(

Yeah, it's out on Friday. Can't wait!

PW:AA JfA probably isn't one of the best games to test out on the Nintendo DSi XL since it was originally a GBA game.

I probably would have got a Nintendo DSi XL if it was possible to play all the Nintendo DSiWare I already have on it. I don't like paying for things I've already paid for.

That's the reason why I took it with me, I wanted to see it the whole thing just looks stupid on the big screens or if it actually works.

Oh yeah, the DSiWare. I just bought some things yesterday, and I'm highly impressed. It's so much fun!

You know, when I first wanted to buy a DSi, I already had heard of a new DS coming out in 2010, so I decided to wait for that.

And Kenny: I just saw that the 27th's a Saturday, and I don't even know if I'll get it then. No more money ):
But I have holidays next week, as said, so if you could come on in the mornings, that'd be cool :)

My holiday is the week after... will you still have yours?

I have ten days, so we've got Monday and Tuesday :)

Actually I just downloaded the SS rom, but it's breaking down every now and then, so that's unplayable.

Shit is I haven't got any money now, so I'll get the game on Easter Sunday, if I'm lucky.

Hope you do get it then
Got an email yesterday saying the credit card details were no longer valid. Pissed me off SO much. But luckily dad changed it so it's valid again. Now I just need to hope they still send it on time, or even at all

I'm sure they'll send it, Kenny.

What I don't understand is why people are going so mad over new Pokemon games. I don't see how the game has changed over all these years.

Well, if you're like me, it's a great chance to play the old games.
I never got to try out Silver or Gold, and it's interesting to dive into the world of Johto for once.
And it's the renewed graphics. And features.

And lastly, the old, charming appeal of Pokemon, which has always made me come back over the last few years.

I dislike generation 3 and 4 of Pokemon, but LOVE generation 1 and 2. This is a remake of 2. But I have the original Silver right here. So why the excitement?

ONLINE MULTIPLAYER ^_^ I only have friends online so I never get to play my old Pokemon games with anyone. NOW I CAN. YAY

At least, when the game arrives
